The Secret Circle: Family Trouble Dare (PHOTO RECAP)

by TV Show Warehouse on November 5, 2011

We’re eight episodes in and it’s becoming clear that The Secret Circle is not so much about magic itself, but rather what magic attracts. In the case of this circle, it’s MIND-NUMBING HORROR. Whether it’s dealing with teens in pig masks toting chloroform hankies or demonic slugs crawling in your orifices, it’s starting to look like being a witch isn’t exactly the hottest scenario. This subtle shift in intention makes sense from a writing standpoint as it’s probably more thrilling to watch our heroes run from danger than study books and easily solve problems with a quick chant

AP – Heroes and villains from the worlds of horror, fantasy and sci-fi shared the stage at Spike TVs annual Scream Awards.

One of the more interesting projects destined to appear on your television this midseason is Fox’s Touch , starring Kiefer Sutherland . It hails from the creator (and ruiner) of Heroes , Tim Kring , and tiptoes around both sci-fi elements and spirituality themes. Touch centers on the idea that everything in the universe is connected in some way.

True Blood: Ridiculousness Comes to Bon Temps

by TV Show Warehouse on August 27, 2011

There is a screenwriting rule that an audience will not be able to handle two kinds of incredible leaps from reality in one movie/series. For example, if you are making a picture about teen wizards, you can’t have an alien invasion in Hogwarts. If you’re writing about superheroes, you can’t have a scientist bring back a fleet of Velociraptors to attack Gotham. True Blood has skirted this rule by keeping all of their new creatures within a loose family of “Halloween monsters”: ghosts, witches, werewolves, vampires, etc

David Letterman Responds to Extremist Death Threat

by TV Show Warehouse on August 23, 2011

We live in Amurrica, people. Land of the free! Home of the fast-food joint that would skip the bun and cram cheese between two pieces of fried chicken! And if some wacko nutjob is going to threaten to de-tongue one of our homegrown heroes, then by golly we’re going to milk it for some cheap laughs! Days after a messageboard user on a Web site allegedly popular with Islamic radicals threatened to cut out the tongue of Late Show With David Letterman ‘s David Letterman , the talk-show host addressed the situation the only way he knows how: with a Top Ten list!…

Pardon me while I get serious for a second. Vampires are my crack, and I’m not alone. Between Twilight , True Blood , and The Vampire Diaries , nationally we’re enthralled by stories that revolve around undead heroes.
